A tighter weave that stops midges and gnats standard mesh lets straight through. Slightly less airflow — worth it if you live near water.

Roughly seven times the tear strength of standard mesh. Worth doing on the doors and lower panels even if you keep standard everywhere else.

Costs more up front and outlives two standard rescreens. If you plan to stay in the house, this is usually the cheaper choice over ten years.

Clear laminated vinyl rather than mesh. Keeps rain, mower debris and neighbors' sight lines out of the lanai.

Cuts 60–90% of solar heat gain. Makes an afternoon lanai usable again without air conditioning it.

Which one do you actually need?
Spot repair makes sense when…
A few panels tore in a storm, the rest of the mesh still has flex and color in it, and the framing is sound. We replace only what's damaged — far cheaper, and we'll tell you when that's the smart call.
Full rescreen makes sense when…
The screen is brittle, faded and tearing in multiple places. At that point spot repairs become a treadmill — a full rescreen costs less over five years and you stop losing a weekend every few months.
